Creativity and creative process are vital to embarking upon a new endeavor in a field with ripe choices. In class, we've been doing many activities that give me a better understanding of creativity. To better understand the importance of creativity, we watched a Ted Talk, completed the "New Introductions" Activity, and read and annotated the Gale article "An Interview with Ron  Beghatto : Subtle Nuances of Creativity in Learning and Life." After participating in these activities, I've decided my magazine will be for teenage girls and young women covering various topics. After doing a lot of research, I'm inspired by many women in the women's magazine industry.       I have arrived at a decision about whether I want to work with a team for my AICE Media Studies portfolio. I participated in the "Social Media Peer Account" and the "Lost at Sea" activity in class, which are both activities that involve teamwork. After doing these activities, I realized that working alone may be the best decision for me. But before I tell you my final decision, I'd like to give you some background on why I've chosen this.       Last week in class, we did many activities  in class involving teamwork.      Last week was the first time I ever used the programs Premiere Pro and InDesign. My first impression of both programs was different, and I have mixed feelings about both. Both programs play a role in delivering a story. To better understand my decision, I first need to explain the importance of storytelling which I better understood after reading Wayne R. Cherry's view from the article "Our Place in the Universe: The Importance of Story and Storytelling in the Classroom." It goes back to our ancestors, who used storytelling to better understand the world around them.
