     I've completely finished my magazine. Right now, I'm looking over it one more time before my final submission. One last-minute change that I didn't mention before that differs from my storyboard is I added pictures of the brands and products I mentioned in my feature article instead of the monotonous designs I planned on having before. My feature article is quite long, but it sounds very researched and well prepared, which was the goal, of course. I last decided last minute that instead of a yellow background for a my feature article page I would use white because it took away from the images and there were no shades that matched the yellow I needed well enough. The program Indesign was actually pretty simple to use once I got the hang of it and helps you achieve that professional magazine look. I'm so happy with how it turned out.      In the past couple of days, I have accomplished so much. I finished writing and editing my feature article, and I imported it in Indesign. I am currently working on editing and importing photos to compliment my feature article. While editing, I made some changes to my magazine that were not included on my storyboard. For my front cover, I changed "Make a Difference." to "Save the Planet." I thought it had a better ring to it and overall just fit better with my theme. I also changed my front cover font to white instead of black because you could see it more clearly. I switched the subtitle on my cover page from "Bloom Organics" to "Eco-Friendly Hair Care because I ended up using that interview in my article, so it wouldn't make sense to leave it on my cover page.      Since the last time I've checked in, I have gotten so much done. I had my interview with the owner of Bloom Organics this week and got a lot of valuable information about their spa and the eco-friendly beauty lines and products they use for their clients. I used this plus the information I got from Ulta Beauty and tons of research to write my feature article on how the beauty industry is becoming more Earth-friendly. I've almost finished that. I have a couple more things I need to add to it before I insert it into my magazine. I've finished my magazine layout and imported the photos I took I need to take some more of certain stores and products but I'm almost done. I need to add my feature article once I'm done with it. This upcoming week I will have plenty of time to edit and finalize everything for my final submission this Friday. Everything is going according to plan.

     Today has been a busy week. I've accomplished a lot. I finished gathering all my supplies for the photograph I needed to take for my front cover. I took the photo, and it turned out very well. Better than I expected it would. I imported it into Indesign and finished my front cover. It looks better than I imagined it to look. I'm super happy with the result. I'm currently working on my feature article. I have most of it done, but I'm still waiting for my interview with Bloom Organics, scheduled for tomorrow, because that was the only time she was available to talk. Once I have the interview information, I will have enough to finish my article and put it into Indesign. By the end of this week, I should get that all done and finish my content page as well. Next week, I will have time to finalize and edit my magazine as much as possible before I have to submit it. Everything's going very well, and I'm on schedule.

     This weekend I was finally able to go and visit the stores I planned on going to. I got some great information I can use in my feature article from Sephora and Ulta Beauty. However, I didn't get any valuable information from Macy's. I'm still in contact with Bloom Organics and plan on having that interview sometime this week. I also went to some craft stores and found some of the materials I needed for my front cover picture. I found the flowers, leaves, and popsicle sticks. I still have to get some other things, but I plan to order those online today. I have done all my research for my feature article besides the interview. So, I will write it this week, so I have enough time to edit and correct as I feel necessary. I've created an Indesign folder for my magazine, and I've started to play around with my layout to try and mimic my storyboard.     Yesterday  in class, I finally finished editing my interview questions and sent them to Bloom Organics. I sent ten questions regarding eco-friendly beauty and about the spa. I should get a response soon and set up a phone call interview. I'm waiting on her answer so I can start writing my feature article for my magazine. I've already done a bunch of research for the feature article as well. My original plan for my magazine was to visit the different department and makeup stores and get the information I needed from them over winter break. However, I ended up traveling, and I had no time. So, my new plan is to collect that information this weekend, and by then, I should have at least set up an interview with someone at Bloom Organics. I was also going to collect the materials I needed to take the photo for my magazine's front cover over break, but with the last minute traveling, as I mentioned before, I had no time.      This past week I've been working on getting an interview. Now I am planning out the pictures I need to take for my magazine. The only picture I need to take is my front cover photo. I drew my front cover idea on my storyboard, and I'm trying to recreate that in real life. Since it's winter break, I have time to get the perfect photo. I will go to Micheals, a craft store, to buy all the supplies I need to create the ideal aesthetic eco-friendly beauty background for my front cover. I need to buy some fake yellow and pink flowers, some artificial green leaves, empty little plastic bottles, and a popsicle stick. I will arrange all of these aesthetically against a white background as I drew on my storyboard, which you can see in a previous post.
